As anyone who reads my blog knows, my posts are pretty irregular and somewhat rare of late. However, to break that mold, I will now post a second article immediately after posting my last. Woot!*

I finally got my registration plates through for my car. As part of my integration into “American culture”, I had to buy a car (OK and because you can’t do anything without one). Having waited nearly two months, my new plates arrived and my official insurance documents were sent. Now if I’m stopped by the police (something I’m not planning on trying out), I can properly hand over my license, registration and insurance documents. It is official, Dr Moo is in California!

* there is a distinct possibility I’m losing it

Slippery Slope 14th March, 2006

For anyone who has read this blog previously, you will know that I am currently trying to become fitter. I am heavier than I would like at the moment and don’t have the stamina I once did. Therefore, I have been going for walks and playing tennis with my friend Alicyn. We have also been trying to eat more healthily. The problem is a matter of willpower. We want to get fit and we want to be more healthy, but at least in my case, I also want to eat badly and be lazy. These two urges are in constant battle and it is very hard when presented with the opportunity to eat a nice meal to not do so.

We can partially blame the weather for our recent laziness. A number of tennis matches have been cancelled by the club we use due to rain (outdoor courts obviously) and similarly, the cold and wet weather hasn’t made for pleasant walks. Still, we must persevere in our goal. No more fast food. One treat a week maximum (and sensible then) and walk or tennis every night (or we must find some alternative form of exercise).

Pain in the Neck! 1st March, 2006

Sometimes life can be a real pain in the neck. Things can get you down or frustrate you. However, in this case, I’m talking about a real pain in the neck. My neck hurts! No idea what caused it, but I woke up in serious pain this morning. Restless night I guess. Didn’t help that my phone rang at 2am and when I answered it, I just got loud music played at me. Caller ‘unknown’. That was also a “pain in the neck” :) Oh well, rant over for now. Post again soon.
